Jon Piatt is Executive Vice President for SNC’s ISR, aviation & security (IAS), where he oversees project and portfolio management for Department of Defense (DOD) activities associated with specialized ISR, aviation and security aircraft modifications. In this capacity, Jon leads SNC’s largest business area, driving strategic priorities that enable advanced, integrated solutions for complex national security missions.
Jon leads multidisciplinary teams dedicated to delivering innovative, mission-critical capabilities for domestic and international defense customers. His leadership is instrumental in advancing SNC’s culture of high-performance program execution, fostering cross-domain collaboration and ensuring alignment with evolving customer requirements and emerging technologies.
Prior to this role, Piatt served as CEO and Board Member for Athule Aero Technologies, where he guided the company’s transition from research and development to a formalized, high-growth enterprise and advanced new propeller technologies for next-generation aircraft.
Before joining SNC, Jon built a distinguished career in the aerospace and defense industry, including leadership positions at L3Harris – most recently as President and General Manager of the Reconnaissance Mission Systems business – where he was responsible for strategic development, organizational performance and the delivery of integrated mission solutions. He also serves as Chairman of the Board for Eviation Aircraft Company, developer of the first flight-proven all-electric commuter aircraft, and previously served as Board Chair for the McKinney Community Development Corporation.
Jon holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and has completed executive leadership programs at the Wharton School of Business.
