Corporate Vice President Communication, Navigation, Surveillance / Air Traffic Management
Greg Cox is corporate vice president of Sierra Nevada Corporation’s (SNC) Communication, Navigation and Surveillance / Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) Business Area. Cox joined SNC in 1989 as a project engineer. Since that time, he has held several positions and risen to increased levels of responsibility. He now leads the successful execution of all CNS/ATM programs, strategic planning and business development activities products for both the military and civil markets.
Although his area of specialization is digital signal processing and image processing systems, Cox has experience in all phases of engineering design and development, including program management, analog and digital circuitry design, control systems, RF design, FPGA and software design and implementation. Some other areas of key product development include: land-based and ship-based automatic landing systems for both manned and unmanned aircraft, precision approach radars, mobile air traffic control towers, enhanced vision systems and autonomous aerial refueling systems.
Cox graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering in 1983. He pursued a graduate degree at Louisiana Tech University and the University of Nevada, Reno.
