COLUMBUS, Ohio (Dec. 3, 2025) – SNC, the global aerospace and national security company, is honored to announce that it has been awarded the Ohio Chamber of Commerce’s Innovative Business of the Year Award. This prestigious award, presented at the Ohio Chamber Research Foundation’s annual gala, recognizes SNC’s leadership, contributions and positive impact on the Ohio business community.

SNC’s significant investment in the Dayton region and its unwavering commitment to the broader community have been pivotal in earning this recognition. The company’s ongoing expansion and development efforts in Ohio, including the nearly 200,000-square-foot Aviation Innovation and Technology Center (AITC) at Dayton International Airport (DAY) and new offices in Miamisburg, underscore its dedication to advancing aerospace and national security capabilities in the birthplace of aviation.

“We are deeply honored to receive the Innovative Business of the Year Award from the Ohio Chamber of Commerce,” said Mark Williams, SNC’s Dayton site executive. “This recognition is a testament to our team’s hard work and our ongoing commitment to the Dayton region. We are proud to contribute to the local economy and are grateful to the hardworking, talented Ohioans and countless regional partners and teammates who have enabled SNC’s rapid growth and continued innovation.”

SNC’s presence in Ohio includes multiple facilities in the Dayton area, such as the AITC, which plays a crucial role in supporting national security projects, like the U.S. Air Force’s Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC). SAOC is a highly specialized aircraft trusted by the President and other top national security leaders to ensure critical airborne command, control, and communication (C3) during national emergencies. The USAF’s selection of SNC for the $13-billion-dollar SAOC program marks one of the largest aircraft modernization contracts awarded to a company other than the original aircraft manufacturer (OEM).

SNC currently operates two hangars at the AITC at DAY, both approximately 90,000 square feet. A third hangar of equal size is set to open this fall, and a fourth hangar will open its doors in early 2026. These facilities support aircraft modification, integration and modernization expertise for all branches of the military, with an emphasis on open architecture solutions.

SNC’s investment in the Dayton region not only allows the company to expand in a community it believes in, but it also helps bring its vision of revitalizing the defense industrial base to life. This enables SNC to better serve its customers with lifesaving solutions that enhance mission readiness and save lives.
