SPARKS, Nev., October 15, 2014 – Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) filed an action today for declaratory and injunctive relief in the United States Court of Federal Claims in response to the October 9, 2014 NASA decision to override the Government Accounting Office’s (GAO) stay of the Boeing Company and Space Exploration Company proceeding under the CCtCap contract award in the pending protest filed by SNC on September 26, 2014. SNC’s action seeks the court’s review of NASA’s decision to authorize continued contract performance, notwithstanding the protest. The GAO has a short 85 days or until January 5, 2015 to issue a decision on the protest. All documents filed in conjunction with the court action are under the GAO’s Protective Order.
