Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) Chairman and President, Eren Ozmen has been named the #2 “Most Influential Turkish-American Woman” by TurkofAmericamagazine. The list recognizes her many contributions to the electronics, aviation and aerospace industry as a successful, self-made business owner. This is the second year in a row Ozmen has been featured as “Most Influential.”
“It is a huge honor to be named among so many other remarkably talented women,” said Ozmen. “When Fatih and I arrived in the United States from Turkey, we didn’t have any resources or connections, but we did have a powerful drive to make an impact. Being a strong female role model is very important to me and I hope sharing my story will inspire other young women to let their dreams take flight.”
This year’s list of influential people identifies innovative, courageous and successful women who have influenced American society, art, business and professional life. Potential nominees were submitted to an independent review committee, with each nominee needing five out of six votes to make the list.
Under Ozmen’s strong financial management, SNC has grown into the “Top Woman-Owned Federal Contractor” in the U.S. She is actively involved in all key aspects of SNC’s business leadership, ranking it in the U.S. Top 10 Nation's Fastest Growing Private Companies for "Revenue Growth for $Billion" by Inc. magazine and making it the second “Fastest-Growing Woman-Owned Companies in North America.” As a tribute to Ozmen’s vision and generous employee benefits, SNC has also been recognized by its employees as a “Best Place to Work” in Nevada, Colorado and Florida.
