We are celebrating National Astronaut Day by sharing a few fun facts about Sierra Nevada Corporation’s (SNC) Steve Lindsey and Lee Archambault both of whom were astronauts in NASA’s space program.
STEVE LINDSEY
Steve Lindsey became an astronaut in 1995 and served 24 years in the United States Air Force.

Degrees:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering Sciences from the U.S. Air Force Academy
- Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology
Lindsey was the pilot for John Glenn’s last flight to the International Space Station in 1998. He was inducted into the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame at Kennedy Space Center in 2015.
Lindsey is the vice president of Space Exploration Systems for SNC overseeing the design, development, testing and operational employment of the Dream Chaser® spacecraft.
LEE ARCHAMBAULT
Lee Archambault became an astronaut in 1998 and served 27 years in the United States Air Force.

Archambault currently works at SNC as Dream Chaser Director of Flight Operations.
