SNC’sWilliams Named to Who’s Who in Aerospace and Defense List

DAYTON, Ohio, May 18, 2022 – Global aerospace and defense leader Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) today recognized Senior Vice President of Strategy Mark Williams as one of the Dayton Business Journal’s “Who’s Who in Aerospace and Defense.” The Dayton, Ohio, publication is located in one of the fastest growing regions for SNC as it continues its expansion in the large aircraft MRO market.  

Each year, the Dayton Business Journal editorial board compiles a list of nearly 100 honorees from the aerospace and defense sectors who have had a significant positive impact on the region and the industry as a whole.   

In his role as Senior VP for SNC’s ISR, Aviation and Security (IAS) business area, Williams is responsible for providing strategic direction to SNC executive leadership on identification, qualification and capture of new business opportunities and growth for IAS. Based at SNC’s Beavercreek, Ohio, offices, and with longtime connections to the community, Williams has been a committed advocate for SNC’s ongoing investment in the Dayton area, including the expansion of its large aircraft modification business with the construction of two new hangars at Dayton International Airport.

Before joining SNC, Williams served as the B-2 System Program Director, Fighters and Bombers Directorate, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson AFB. Williams served 24 years on active duty with the U.S. Air Force in a variety of Special Operations, Air Force Research Lab, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command and acquisition positions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Mechanics from the United States Air Force Academy, a Master’s of Business Administration in Finance from Xavier University and a Master’s of Science in National Security Strategy from the National Defense University’s Eisenhower School.
