SNC Launches Scholarship Program for Women Pursuing Stem Careers

SPARKS, Nev., November 08, 2021 – Global aerospace and national security company Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) will launch a scholarship program for women pursuing careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) on December 1, 2021. SNC will award numerous scholarships to women pursuing non-medical STEM-related majors annually. 

This scholarship program is an opportunity to encourage women to pursue careers in an under-represented industry.

This scholarship and its connection to our Women's Employee Resource Group is a momentous step.” 

SNC partnered with Scholarship America, the nation’s largest nonprofit, private scholarship organization to administer the scholarship. Completed applications must be submitted to Scholarship America between Monday, December 1, 2021 and Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. CDT.  

Eligibility requirements: 

• Be a current high school senior, college undergraduate or graduate level student pursuing a degree and career in a non-medical, STEM-related field. 

• Plan to enroll in a part-time or full-time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year. 
• Applicants must self-identify as female. 
• Have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
