POLITICO, June 15, 2018 – The main mission of Sierra Nevada Corporation’s Dream Chaser space plane will be to supply up to seven astronauts and cargo to the International Space Station beginning in 2020 under a contract with NASA.
But the company has bigger plans for its spacecraft designed to launch atop a rocket and land on any runway that can accommodate a Boeing 737 jetliner, says Steve Lindsey, the company's senior director of space exploration systems -- regardless of what happens to the space station....
