Further, training with FCLP to Touchdown before the Fleet Replacement Squadron helps preserve the life of in-demand, high-end assets while building foundational skills on which they will fall back again and again.

Purpose built to support carrier touch-and-go operations and Field Carrier Landing Practice (FCLP) to touchdown, the Freedom Trainer ensures early and repetitive exposure to Navy-standard no-flare landings to instill essential skills and instinctive behaviors. This capability reduces reliance on more costly fleet aircraft for basic training and enables the Navy to train the way it fights.
