SNC Wins NAVAIR Harvest HAWK Contract Award

SPARKS, Nev., June 02, 2021 – Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), the global aerospace and national security company owned by Eren and Fatih Ozmen, was selected by Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) Tactical Airlift Program Office (PMA-207) for an Advanced Prototype Systems Division (APSD)/AIRWorks Prototyping and Limited Production Multiple Award Contract (PLP MAC) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) award to support the installation of the Harvest Hercules Airborne Weapons Kit (HAWK) on two United States Marine Corps (USMC) KC-130J aircraft.

The value of the delivery order is $1.6 million.

Harvest HAWK Plus significantly enhances the capability and lethality of the KC-130J through an integrated, multi-sensor imagery and reconnaissance and air-to-ground weapons kit that provides real time intelligence gathering, target detection, identification, tracking, and precision guided munition delivery via wing and door-mounted launchers to perform the close air support mission for the Marine Corps.

This award marks the first competitive win on this contract vehicle for IAS.

IAS is a leading integrator for special mission aircraft, including major AC-130J modifications, MC-130J RF Counter Measures (RFCM), MC-130J AirBorne Mission Networking (AbMN), KC-130J Harvest Hawk Plus, and other mission system upgrades. IAS performs special mission aircraft upgrades in its expansive production space in Colorado Springs, CO.
