As a Materials Planner II, internally titled Planner II, you will be developing your skills to plan, and schedule the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods, and related material through our production and inventory process. You'll track production activity to help ensure a smooth and controlled flow of materials, troubleshoot potential scheduling problems, assist with providing solutions, and track production and material deficiencies and implementing the master production plan through the material management system to execute the program and product life cycle.

Must-haves:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field of study and typically 3 years of relevant experience

    • A higher level degree may substitute for experience

    • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Experience with the engineering change process

  • Knowledge of master production planning

  • Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications

Preferred:

  • Experience in Supply Chain Management and /or Operations Management

  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR)

  • Understanding of Unified Commercial Code (UCC)

  • Prior experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and /or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems

  • Familiarity with MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and understanding of the Bill of Materials.

  • Experience with Costpoint, Windchill and internal Sierra Space applications. Looking for someone who is able to learn and adapt quickly with my different tools and software applications.

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required Learn more about the background check process for Security Clearances
