Aircraft Certification Analyst II

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Focuses on developing technical expertise and knowledge of overall aircraft certification process
  • Review customer requirements to identify the certification basis, and development of a certification plan
  • Exchanges basic information with individuals in their department, such requesting or providing information with minimal explanation or interpretation required and has limited customer contact
  • Reads and interprets technical documentation to understand the design change
  • Review engineering documentation for accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations
  • Manage data submittals ensuring technical data to show compliance has been reviewed, and approved/accepted, as required
  • Executes assigned tasks in a timely manner to generate data to support the goals of the program Work products generated will be reviewed by more experienced engineers
  • Reads and interprets technical documentation to understand the design change
  • Exchanges basic information with individuals in their department, such requesting or providing information with minimal explanation or interpretation required and has limited customer contact
  • Support higher level analyst to track and manage compliance artifact submittals
  • Prepare initial document drafts with input from subject matter experts
  • Review engineering documentation for accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations
  • Work is under general supervision and work is not implemented without review
  • Works within specific guidelines

COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for thoughtful adherence to all SNC Policies, Procedures, and Compliance regulations (internal and external)
  • Responsible for timely execution of all personnel-related activities such as Time Sheet completion, Performance Evaluations (Anniversary and Annual), Salary Reviews, Succession Planning, etc.
  • Responsible for leadership oversight and for ensuring Department/Team training and adherence to all SNC Policies, Procedures, and Compliance Regulations (internal and external) ( for Supervisor Level and Above)

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical degree
  • 3+ years of experience within the applicable discipline.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Minimum physical requirements to perform all duties and responsibilities, as defined by management

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with 14 CFR Part 23, and/or Part 25 required, experience with MIL-HDBK-516C is desired but not required
  • MS Office, Adobe Acrobat Professional
  • Familiarity with working with Designated Engineering Representatives (DER) or Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) Engineering Unit Members (UM)
  • Professional experience in DoD contracting or similarly regulated industry
