The ideal candidate would be someone who genuinely enjoys being around infants and children and who seeks to create a safe, supportive and nurturing environment while collaborating with a team. This position will involve fostering a fun and creative atmosphere and developing quality relationships with each child you work with.


  • Assist staff with both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives
  • Maintain daily open communication with parents
  • Maintain confidentially
  • Arrange a classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy
  • Care for children 0 - 10 years of age, using encouragement and praise
  • Sustain a safe and healthy environment
  • Keep appropriate records for attendance and time sheets
  • Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials
  • Meet all applicable licensing regulations
  • Plan and carry out age appropriate curriculum and activities


  • Responsible for thoughtful adherence to all SNC Policies, Procedures, and Compliance regulations (internal and external)


  • Physical stamina: must be able to sit on floors, bend, kneel, twist, lift up to 50 pounds on a daily basis

  • High School Diploma
  • CPR and First-Aid certified (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
  • Required to obtain sheriffs card
  • Attends 24 hours of continuing education courses in the area of Early Childhood Development per year
  • Minimum Fundamental Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities as stated in SNC’s Responsibility Matrix
  • Relevant work experience may substitute for required education
