CP-2358/AN-SPN-46(V) Radar Doppler Video Processor (RDVP)
The Radar Doppler Video Processor is a digital signal processor that provides a moving target indicator and detection capability to the US Navy's SPN-46(V)3 Automatic Carrier Landing Systems. The RDVP uses Doppler processing techniques to improve the ACLS System's acquisition and track performance in rain; this is a critical capability when recovering carrier aircraft in inclement weather. System capabilities include:
- Digital Coherent on Receive
- IF AGC Control
- Constant False Alarm Rate (CFAR) processing
- Variable PRF control
- Range tracking
The RDVP technology is adaptable to other coherent or non-coherent track radar systems to provide an MTI or MTD capability.
