Precision Approach Radar Modifications

In a partnership with NAWCAD and BAE, SNC developed a portion of the modification kit for the US Navy's SPN-35 Precision Approach Radar (PAR) to extend the life of the system. The modification kit corrects known deficiencies and upgrades high failure rate items. The modification kit will replace the existing transmitter, receiver and antenna drives and encoders. In addition, the mod kit will add a moving target detection capability to improve the systems performance in rain and a track while scan capability.
