FAA Honors Sierra Nevada Corporation with Gold Certificate of Excellence Award Sparks, NV – December 10th, 2008 – Sierra Nevada Corporation Integrated Mission Systems of Hagerstown, Maryland received special recognition from the FAA in a ceremony at their facility on the 10th of December. They were awarded the Certificate of Excellence “GOLD AWARD”, which is an honor given when 50 percent or more of all eligible employees participate in the FAA’s Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Program. A Sierra Nevada Corporation / Integrated Mission Systems employee received their first Diamond Award for maintenance training excellence from the FAA for its Hagerstown, Maryland, Part 145 Certified Repair Station. Fifty-five eligible employees received individual Aviation Maintenance Technician Awards for their participation in the 2008 Maintenance Training Program.
