Acquisition of Turtle Mountain Communications (TMC), Inc. by Sierra Nevada
Corporation (SNC)
Sparks, Nevada – June 3, 2003 – Sierra Nevada Corporation announced that it has
completed the acquisition of Turtle Mountain Communications (TMC), Inc. as of today.
This acquisition represents an expansion of both companies capitalizing on their
respective strengths by exploiting synergies that will enable SNC to deliver multiservice/
agency solutions for the Department of Defense and Homeland Security
markets. Integrating TMC’s core capabilities into SNC’s existing defense
competencies in an orderly manner, based on a strong team approach, is critical to
realizing these yet-to-be-tapped synergies. TMC’s unique secure communications
and real-time video capabilities are very complementary to SNC’s Intelligence,
Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), Instrumentation, Test and Training (ITT) and
Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems (ATCALS) technology and customer base.
The SNC/TMC team plans to further expand the business base of TMC by capitalizing
on the technology and resource bases of SNC’s other expertise at facilities in Sparks,
NV, Simi Valley, CA, Greenville, TX, Omaha, NE, Salt Lake City, UT, Patuxent River,
MD, Washington, D.C. and San Antonio, TX. To continue our aggressive growth
profile while maintaining excellent customer relations, SNC is committed to providing
