DoD Recognizes SNC for Outstanding Service and Continuing Support to Sparks, Nevada – June 6, 2003 – Sierra Nevada Corporation received the Employer
Support of Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Committee Chair Award from the National
Committee for ESGR, presented by Ms. Venna Bishop, ESGR-California, San Jose Area
Chair. ESGR representatives accompanying Ms. Bishop for the ceremony included: Mr.
Max Beardon, ESGR-Nevada, Executive Director; Mr. Alex Morgan, ESGR-California
Information Technology; and Mr. Douglas Byington, ESGR-Nevada, Northern Nevada
Chair. Accepting the award on behalf of the company was Mr. Jerry Harvey, SNC
Executive Vice President of Operations. The ESGR Committee Chair Award, also
known as the ESGR Above and Beyond Award, was presented to SNC before all
employees “on behalf of the men and women of America’s Reserve forces, for
outstanding service to the national defense through continuing support of the National
Guard and Reserve”. This award is given in limited numbers and is presented annually
by each Local ESGR Committee. It is designed to recognize those employers who have
