Acquisition of Plano Microwave Inc. (PMI)

Sparks, Nevada – October 1, 2001 – Sierra Nevada Corporation announced that it has completed the acquisition of Plano Microwave Inc. (PMI) as of today. This acquisition represents an expansion of both company's Intelligence Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, capitalizing on their respective strengths by exploiting synergies that will enable us to deliver multiservice/ agency system solutions. Integrating PMI's core capabilities into SNC's existing ISR competencies in an orderly manner will be based on a strong team
approach and is critical to realizing these yet to be tapped synergies. Our SNC/PMI team plans to further expand the unique ELINT sensor capabilities at PMI by capitalizing on the technology and resource bases of SNC's other
expertise at facilities in Greenville TX, Reno NV, Dayton OH, Sacramento CA, Simi Valley CA, Omaha NE, and Salt Lake City UT. In order to continue along our aggressive growth profile while maintaining excellent customer relations, SNC is committed to providing the financial, management and operational support that will be needed to make this acquisition a long term success for SNC and our current and future Customers.
