Chairman of the Board: Eren Ozmen

Eren Ozmen is the Owner and Chairman of the Board of Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC).  In addition to these broad responsibilities, Eren is also SNC’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) overseeing the day to day activities of the corporation’s Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, Project Management, Finance, Accounting, Contracts, IT, HR and Security Departments.  Hands-on and involved are the key aspects of Eren’s management style.

Eren joined SNC in 1988, shortly after receiving her MBA from the University of Nevada.  With a strong vision of the future, Eren and her husband Fatih Ozmen acquired SNC in 1994 and set their plans in motion to expand and grow.  As a direct result of their strategic planning efforts, to include the successful acquisition of ten electronics firms, and their strong financial and technical management SNC has grown into one of the Top Woman-Owned Federal Contractors in the United States.

Eren Ozmen not only fosters business growth at SNC, but is also a champion of families and the community.  In 1991 she established an on-site, licensed daycare facility for use by all company employees.  Today, as it has for the last 16 years, the SNC daycare assists employees in balancing their personal and professional needs.  Eren also ensures that SNC gives back to the local community with numerous corporate and employee involvement initiatives being sponsored throughout the year.

Eren has received numerous awards over the years for her successes at SNC.  Most recently she received the prestigious GCN Award from Government Computer News.  The GCN Award recognizes Eren Ozmen and SNC as one of the top Woman Owned Companies doing business with the Federal Government.  SNC’s continued high level of performance in providing effective solutions with a mission-critical focus and high-dollar volume direct sales to the Federal Government has earned her this award for two consecutive years.
