Sierra Nevada Corp.’s Dream Chaser spacecraft underwent a successful free-flight test on November 11, 2017 at NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center, Edwards, California.

SNC last month celebrated the opening of its newest facility at the Colorado Springs Airport. The 60,000-square-foot aircraft hangar is the second SNC location at the airport. The company also has plans to construct facilities for its subsidiary, Sierra Completions. The hangar is part of SNC’s Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance business area.

The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs announced today the opportunity to participate in a space mission using Sierra Nevada Corporation’s Dream Chaser spacecraft. The low-Earth orbit space mission will take 20 to 30 powered experiments provided by organizations within the participating UN Member States, with a particular emphasis on developing and emerging countries.
