Traning Presentations
Sierra Nevada Corp.(SNC) and Project Manager, Warfighter Information Network – Tactical (PM WIN-T) will be hosting the 2009 Simple Key Loader (SKL) Users’ Conference in Reno, Nevada at the El Dorado Hotel and Casino. The conference is scheduled for Wednesday, July 15th and Thursday, July 16th. Users from the Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) Community will be provided relevant SKL program information briefings on the first day and hands-on SKL training the second day. There will be briefs from the Army, Air Force, Navy, SNC and various Subject Matter Experts from the EKMS Community.
Training will consist of a four (4) hour block of instruction that will highlight the components and functions of the Army Key Management System (AKMS). Specific attention focused on the use and operation of the AN/PYQ-10, Simple Key Loader (SKL) and an overview of the Tier 3 Download (T3DL) Utility, a utility developed to enable the delivery of encrypted key via SIPRNET Email.
The presentation will provide an overview of the AKMS components including the Local COMSEC Management Software (LCMS) Workstation, the Automated Communications Engineering (ACES) Workstation, and the SKL hardware and the supporting application. LCMS Workstation functions include COMSEC accounting, management, key ordering and generation, and key distribution. ACES integrates the functions of cryptonet planning, EP distribution, and Signal Operating Instruction (SOI) generation and management.
The primary focus of the presentation will relate to the fundamentals of SKL user operations and functions. Procedures required to effectively operate, manage, distribute, identify, and load key and data will be provided in addition to the required actions to access, manage, distribute and display SOI data. SKLs will be available to support hands on procedures by all attendees.
