With years of experience supporting the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Homeland Security, Commercial and International customers, SNC’s Integrated Mission Systems (IMS) Business Area is a widely recognized provider of high quality multi-mission Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) products and services.
IMS is an industry leader in engineering, building, integrating, modifying, fielding and supporting both air and ground-based ISR systems. IMS is a mission-centric business, with skilled engineers and craftsman dedicated to Quick Reaction Capabilities (QRC) – with a response in hours, days and weeks.
This unique capability was forged from IMS’s rapid response to DOD requirements in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom to provide solutions safeguarding Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines from the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) threat. Since that time, IMS has sustained over 300,000 flight hours of multi-mission/multi-intelligence operations in support of operational commanders world-wide.
Our operation is designed for today’s strategic environment with a focus on agility, dependability, and tempo. IMS is DCMA INST 8210.1, FAA Part 145, ISO 9001:2008, and AS9100C approved and certified. We are headquartered in Hagerstown, Maryland, which is a 90-minute drive from Washington D.C.

SNC’s IMS provides total system solutions for:
IMS is a prime systems integrator and electronic systems provider, known for rapid, innovative, and agile technology solutions. This business area continues to grow its portfolio of capabilities, products and services including engineering, integration, manufacturing, modification, Contractor Logistics Support (CLS), and full turn-key ISR field operations in support of the DOD.
IMS is the prime contractor for the Customs and Border Protection Agency’s Multi-role Enforcement Aircraft (MEA). Our open production line for MEA at our Hagerstown Campus has helped spur growth of the local Hagerstown economy and serves as a tribute to the skilled and dedicated Maryland workforce. The MEA functions as the basis for our commercial ISR variant known as the SNC SCORPION™ platform. The SNC SCORPION provides an unmatched multi-mission capability and is ready for International Customers today.
Our ability to listen to our customer’s current and emerging requirements helps guide our innovative solutions for tomorrow’s technologies. We have developed a new Systems Integration Lab (SIL) at our Hagerstown Campus that provides a rapid staging area for technology development. This will allow IMS to support customers through integrated and networked simulation and mission exercises to validate contingency operations before entering production. This best value proposition will help save our customer unnecessary research and development funds which is critical in the current fiscal environment.
This continuous portfolio development has led to the addition of a secondary location in Huntsville, Alabama, in addition to our Hagerstown, Maryland campus. Huntsville is home to many of our current customers and is also a rapidly-growing market for developing technologies and defense capabilities. This location allows IMS to further support our customers and place the business area into a market with greater opportunities to develop innovative IMS efforts such as low-cost airborne ISR solutions, Mission Command & Control (C2) and Mission Processing, Evaluation and Dissemination (PED) and Distributed SIL operations.
