Sparks, NV – March 22, 2012 – Eren Ozmen, Chairman and President of Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), was among three top female executives who participated in a panel discussion, “Perspectives from the Top Women in Aerospace and Defense,” March 15, 2012 at the Ritz Tysons Corner in McLean, VA. Eren was invited to speak at the event by its sponsor Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.
The panel included Eren Ozmen, Linda Hudson, President and CEO of BAE Systems, Inc., and Heidi Wood, Managing Director of Morgan Stanley, all of whom provided their own unique insight into building successful companies and careers within the aerospace and defense industries.
Eren Ozmen and her husband Fatih Ozmen, Chief Executive Officer, have led SNC’s growth from one office and a handful of employees in 1988 to 2,100 employees today in 31 locations across 16 states. Eren Ozmen shared with the panel how she pursued her Master’s Degree at the University of Nevada, Reno. She summarized her history at SNC, which started in 1988 shortly after earning her MBA. Eren also talked about how SNC was going to navigate the aerospace and defense industry in the future.
